What began in her Fisher-Price kitchen three decades ago has grown into the central focus and passion of Lauren’s life. In 2011, Lauren graduated first in her class from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Prior to founding LDK Kitchen, Lauren cooked "on the line" in several restaurants including Eric Ripert's Westend Bistro in Washington DC, taught countless cooking classes for Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma, and, most recently, worked for one of the most celebrated event and wedding planning firms in Washington, D.C. as a menu and event director. In 2014, Lauren committed to operating LDK Kitchen full-time, and hasn’t looked back!

Lauren graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 2007, with a Bachelors in Communications Studies. Today she lives with her husband Ben in Westport, Connecticut.
